My name is Mike Purton and I am Producer for the NAXOS Sousa series with Keith Brion. It’s now all recorded but not all edited. I’m finishing off Volume 21 and in it there is ‘Showing Off Before Company’. Might you by any chance be able to advise me the true title of the Jazz Waltz’ and the ‘Foxtrot’ contained within this work? I suspect that these are Sousa’s arrangements of popular numbers from those days and the reason I would like to know is because we need to know if the music is actually still in copyright ie has the composer of the original tune been dead for less than 70 years!
From my source materials, the actual title is “I’ll Say She Does” The earliest date that I show is 1918. You could have just e-mailed me! LOL – Kevin R. Tam https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3pRg4UNHzI

Thanking you hugely in anticipation!
